About

The Roblox games worth your time.

Rokoala is an independent Roblox gaming publication. We sort through new releases and stale top-charts to find the games people play right now, plus the ones about to break out.

What we cover

Every roundup answers the same question: you opened Roblox right now, so what should you play? Our desks cover week-over-week trending, raw player counts, horror, obbies, tycoons, and the games gaining traction before anyone else notices. Spotlights take a single breakout game apart.

How often it updates

Player counts refresh every three hours, so a game's trend, its record, and whether it is growing or fading are current whenever you look. Content ratings are checked against Roblox's own experience guidelines and refresh on their own schedule.

Written roundups and spotlights are published when a game genuinely warrants one, rather than to a fixed weekly slot. The archive of past roundups stays online.

How we pick games

We start from live data: concurrent players, recent growth, and player ratings from public Roblox sources. That data decides the shortlist. The write-up explains what the numbers mean and who each game suits, and we keep invented quotes and review scores out of it. How an article gets made →

What you won't find here

  • Popups, interstitials, or autoplay video
  • Fabricated quotes, invented review scores, and filler rankings

Who writes Rokoala

One person writes and edits Rokoala, publishing under the pen name Rokoala Editor. The pen name keeps the operator anonymous, and you deserve to know that up front. They play Roblox most days, a couple of hours at a stretch, across the genres this site covers.

Every article starts from data. We poll the public Roblox API for concurrent players, growth, and approval ratings, and that data picks the shortlist for each piece. We draft the prose from that shortlist with AI assistance.

No draft publishes on its own. The editor reads every one against the live numbers and against time spent in the games, then edits by hand, cutting or reordering picks that miss how the games play. That pass decides whether a piece goes out.

We keep invented player quotes and made-up review scores out of every article, and we recommend nothing the data and the play time fail to support. When a pick is rough around the edges, we say so. Player counts and ratings carry a publish-time stamp and drift after that, so we show you the timestamp.
