Group size and playing with friends
A Roblox server’s capacity can describe a lobby containing several separate runs. It does not establish how many friends can enter one co-op session. For a small pilot set, we separately read the creator’s public description and record what it says about group play, with a source link and check date. Descriptions that invite a particular group size do not necessarily establish a hard maximum.
These notes summarize published descriptions rather than hands-on testing. An unstated limit stays unknown. After 30 days, a group-size label is withheld pending a new source check; the dated context remains available as historical information. Features, prices and supported modes can change before that deadline, so check the linked Roblox description when organizing a session.
Where the data comes from
Player counts, game names, genres, artwork, visits and approval come from public Roblox APIs. We discover candidates through several Roblox discovery feeds and collect details for up to 400 games in each collection. The full catalog also keeps games sampled in earlier collections; it is not a census of Roblox.
Primary sources include the Roblox games API, Roblox thumbnails API and Roblox’s explanation of content maturity ratings.
The collector is scheduled every three hours. GitHub Actions can delay a run, and Roblox can throttle or decline requests. Every figure describes a particular observation. We display the actual timestamp and flag player readings older than 24 hours.
What “playing” means
It is the number of concurrent players reported by Roblox at collection time. It is not unique players, daily active users, or the number online at the instant you open this page. The site is statically built from one saved collection, so the same snapshot is used across the site.
How hidden gems are selected
A candidate needs 100–4,999 concurrent players, at least 90% approval in Roblox votes, and a reading in the last 24 hours. These thresholds surface smaller communities with favorable ratings. They do not prove original gameplay, fair monetization, strong moderation or personal suitability. Approval percentages may be based on different numbers of votes.
How player movement is calculated
We keep the highest observation in each UTC day. Weekly change compares the median daily peak of the most recent seven completed UTC days with the preceding seven completed days. Both weeks need at least four sampled days before a comparison is shown. Broader trend summaries compare the recent week with available observations from the previous four weeks.
Weekends, update events, holidays and missing observations can affect comparisons. A decline in player activity does not prove that a game is abandoned or about to close. Where the history is too sparse or old, we withhold the comparison.
Recorded peaks and chart history
A recorded peak is the highest player count we observed, not a certified all-time record. A game can peak between samples. We retain recent observations at their collected resolution; older data is reduced to the highest observation per UTC day. Some obviously isolated spikes are excluded using neighboring readings; this reduces API anomalies but cannot identify every error.
Do not read an average of this mixed-resolution series as an average player population. Chart lines connect observed points; they do not reconstruct what happened between them.
Ratings, age labels and private servers
Approval is the percentage of positive votes reported by Roblox. It is not Rokoala’s review score. Content maturity labels and descriptors come from Roblox and refresh on a slower schedule than player counts. Check the live game page before playing. Labels do not guarantee a safe experience, and private servers can have a price.
What earns a search landing page
A game history page needs at least 24 valid observations across 14 different days in the last 35 days, including an observation in the last 48 hours, before we offer it in the game sitemap. Other tracked pages remain available to visitors with a noindex instruction. Two mentions in generated articles do not qualify a game for indexing.
Expired recurring roundups stay accessible as dated archive material and are removed from the sitemap after 45 days without an update. Game-specific spotlights remain eligible. Search engines decide independently whether to crawl or index an eligible page; these rules are a product quality policy, not a ranking guarantee.
Written content and corrections
Earlier articles were drafted with AI assistance from Roblox data. An article’s presence does not establish that its author played the game or independently verified every gameplay claim. We keep the archive separate from current discovery data and do not present those articles as newly tested recommendations.
